Exploding Narratives 09 invites story-tellers of all kinds - authors, games writers, script writers, playwrights, poets, film makers and artists - to create absorbing, memorable experiences using HP Labs’ mscape technology

£5000 will be awarded to the overall winner

Five shortlisted entries will receive £1000 each to develop their ideas further

The Brief

We are looking for innovative stories and memorable narratives to be experienced using HP Labs’ mscape location-based technology

mscape software enables digital images, sounds and media to be mapped onto physical locations to create augmented reality events

The project is not about the technology, but the unique stories and immersive experiences it can deliver

Entries will be judged upon artistic merit technical feasibility, innovative format and entrant’s ability to deliver

Only entrants who upload a biography will be considered

If you are successful at this initial stage, you will be expected to find a partner to deliver the technical elements of the project

The Prize & How it Works

5 successful entrants will be awarded £1,000 to develop their idea further and complimentary tickets to b.TWEEN 09

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an ideas-development workshop with HP Labs at the Pervasive Media studio

The finalised ideas will be pitched at b.TWEEN 09 with the overall winner being awarded £5,000 to make their idea into reality
