About me
Nick is the founder and managing director of Humanstudio Limited (a.k.a Human), a creative agency with global credentials and substantial collective experience.
Prior to launching Human, Nick was a director at The Designers Republic.
Nick began his career in 1990 and, for the first 10 years, worked in London and Sheffield as a graphic designer within the music and entertainment industries. Clients included record labels (EMI, BMG / Simon Cowell, Parlophone, Sony Music) with internationally acclaimed artists such as Supergrass, Pulp, Aphex Twin, Nine Inch Nails and Deep Dish. Nick has also produced critically acclaimed design for independent record labels such as Warp Records, and consulted on ground-breaking video games (WIpeOut, Grand Theft Auto).
Nick has worked with organisations such as Nokia, Sony, Coca Cola, The British Council, EMAP, Orange, Urban Splash, Hutchison 3G and consulted on the rebranding of Nickelodeon. In his role as TDR project director, Nick was responsible for high-level projects for Deutsche Bank, The University of Sheffield and Italia Telecom (MTV).
A visiting lecturer in design & communication, Nick is also a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
